PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (AP) _ A co-owner of Rhode Island's planned second medical marijuana dispensary says he'd like to start a home delivery service.
Seth Bock, co-owner of the Greenleaf Compassionate Care Center in Portsmouth tells the Providence Journal that he would staff delivery trucks with retired police officers or others with a background in law enforcement.
Dara Chadwick, Health Department spokeswoman, says state law permits the delivery of marijuana to registered patients. She says the proposal would be reviewed as part of the inspection process for Greenleaf.
The dispensary is still under construction. Bock says he's hoping to schedule the final walkthrough for state health officials and police on May 15.
