RI Pastor sent back to Prison for molesting girl

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island officials say a 70-year-old pastor from Central Falls has been sent back to prison for 18 years for molesting another child.

Attorney General Peter Kilmartin said Wednesday that a state magistrate in Providence found Julio Alicea in violation of his probation stemming from a 1992 child molestation conviction. Alicea was sentenced to 12 years in prison and probation after being convicted of multiple counts of first-degree child molestation in the earlier case.

Kilmartin says the latest incident involved a 10-year-old girl who said Alicea molested her during a game of hide and seek. Superior Court Magistrate John McBurney III found after a one-day hearing that Alicea violated his probation.

Alicea told authorities that he is a pastor at the Iglesia Pentecostal Jesucristo Roca Eterna church in Pawtucket.
